About us.

Ortdeco takes its name from two things we hold dear: a place, and the art of shaping it. Our two apartments occupy the fourth floor of a Gründerzeit building in Vienna’s Brigittenau – a district that has kept its composure while the city around it grew louder. High ceilings and tall windows meet a quiet confidence in design; the spirit of Art Déco, carried into the twenties of a new century.

Ortdeco is a family affair. Elisabeth tends to the apartments with the care one reserves for one’s own home; her son Matthäus attends to our guests, from the first enquiry to the farewell. We do not believe in anonymous hospitality. Every message receives a considered reply, every recommendation is one we would give a friend, and every stay is treated as what it is: a visit to our house.

Whether you’re visiting for museum and opera nights, culinary discoveries, or simply a quiet retreat by the park – as a couple or together with the whole family.

Welcome to Ortdeco
